Everybody had expected the fleet to collect into Queen Anne's Battery, the marina at the Royal Western Yachtclub, over this weekend. However, the weather is still so bad that nobody turned up! Many competitors are held up in places all over the English Channel, with a large contingent in the Solent area. Glad to be here!

One of the things I still want to do is climb the mast to make an adjustment to the upper stays. However I feel a bit reluctant to get up there in this wind, even in port. Worst thing is, the wind is not expected to die out until late this week, and I want to have things done by that time. Yesterday, I turned my attention to one of the windows and the fore hatch, which both leaked a bit. This morning saw heavy rain and I am glad to say that neither one of them showed any signs of leaking!
